Beach inspired art from the coast of North Carolina

A Salty Tale…

My love of all things art started in pre-school where I was introduced to the wonderful world of finger paints. My Dad proudly plastered the inside of the family van and his semi-truck with all my paintings. At 14, my Mom was able to scrape together enough to afford me weekly art lessons with a local artist. In college, I found myself drawn to art studio classes and my color theory teacher advised me to pursue a career as an artist. Twenty years and two kids later, I have finally made that dream come true.

My style has always been a bit abstract – more Monet/Van Gogh than Pollack. I like to see where the paint goes and love when the viewer sees something unique to their view in a painting. More recently, I am drawn to paint pouring and feel like I have found my niche.

I have also found a love of functional art. I enjoy taking everyday objects and making them art. You will see this in many of my pieces like my Coastal Coasters, Salty Servers, Briny Boxes and Galley Swag items.
